Hello! I am a huge Porsche enthusiast, and I found this website today and am excited to learn more. I live in Salt Lake City, and I see that there will be an "Opening Social" at the JCC, and I'm curious to know what this entails? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi Luke,

Great to hear you are interested. Check out the home page for a general description of the club and a link to join. The social is usually a welcome, introduction, some social time and dinner. Hope to see you.

Hi Luke- Thanks for being a Porsche enthusiast. We’re glad that you found us at IRPCA.org, and that you spotted the opening social on our calendar. While we publish our calendar on the club website, we generally publish the registration links to our paid club events ( there is a fee for the dinner at the JCC) through an email sent only to Porsche Club of America members. The fees to join PCA, the national parent organization, are really reasonable at $46 per year. This is especially true considering that membership gets you a subscription to the monthly club magazine, called “Panorama”. If you read car mags, then perhaps you think of Automobile Magazine at the highest quality? Well, double the quality of content, and make it about nothing but Porsches, and you’ve got the idea. Membership in the Intermountain Region of PCA (IRPCA) becomes automatic and free, once you join PCA. You can join at http://www.pca.org , and set up your own profile, which includes your email, the type of Porsche that you own, and your home address. Your zip code in your profile allows us “locals” access to be able to email you details about each and every one of the 30+ events that we host each year for our members. So I would encourage you to join the other 700 members of IRPCA to be fully informed and as participative as you like.

If you would like to sign up for the March opening social, because you want to meet some of the members first, just let me know. I’ll make a note to send you the registration link once it is published in the next week or so. We always welcome new “trial” members. Also, we do not REQUIRE locally that you are a current Porsche owner to participate in any of our driving events. This includes autocrosses, track days at Utah Motorsports Campus and driving tours. But we say “it’s a slippery slope”. If you come to these events with something other than a Porsche, you’ll probably end up owning one, sooner than later. Just ask our new Autocross Committee chairman- now a former Mazda driver 
