No day of registration will be available. \nPlease come out and join us at Provo Towne Center sponsored by Porsche Salt Lake.  \nADue to Covid limitations\, we will not have loaner helmets\, and we will not be able to allow first time auto crossers (unless you have previous experience with other groups like SCCA). \nRegistration: \nWe want to avoid personal contact as much as possible\, so please register and pay electronically at msreg.com/IRPCAMAR21 Pre-reg fee: $30.00 PCA members\, $40.00 non-members. \nPre-registration also secures you a spot should we have to limit attendance. \nThere will be no on-site registration. \nAlso\, please print\, fill out and bring the Registration and Tech Inspection form below with you: \nIRPCA Autocross Registration and Tech Inspection Form \nSchedule: \n8:00 am start course set up\n8:30 am finalize registration\, vehicle numbers\, complete tech sheets\n8:30 am vehicle check out\n9:30 am close registration\n9:45 am Driver safety meeting\n10:00 am AX morning runs\, depending on attendees volunteering\, getting ready and course length we can do 4-6 runs\n12:00 am lunch\n12:45 AX afternoon runs\, depending on attendees returning from lunch we can do 4-6 runs\n02:30 course break down and clean up.  Please stay to the end and volunteer.\n\n\nSet up \nVolunteers are always needed to help set up the course\, which is unique for every autocross event. Volunteers meet at 8 AM\, so arrive early if you can. Please help us\, we are a small group of volunteers. \nFirst cars will run no later than 10 AM\, following a drivers’ safety meeting. The day’s schedule depends on the number of entries\, but we usually take a quick lunch break around noon and wrap up by 3 PM. \nThis event is open to PCA members and friends\, so put the word out to enthusiast friends and licensed drivers who would like to come and learn to autocross\, or to get some more practice in. \nWhat to bring: \nA helmet carrying a 2010 (or newer) Snell “M” or “SA” rating is required. Due to the COVID-19 guidelines we will not make our loaner helmets available. Please also bring and wear your face mask at all times. Rubber gloves are recommended. \nBring plenty of water\, due to COVID-19 restrictions we don’t want to provide as usual water bottles. Pack your lunch.  food outlets might be limited. \nWhat is autocross? \nAutocross consists of navigating your car as quickly as possible through a course made of cones. It’s a great way for any licensed driver to improve skills in his or her weekend sports car or everyday car. We provide coaches to new autocross drivers who will ride with you and provide pointers. For safety reasons\, there is only ever one car on the course at a time\, and the course is designed to keep speeds relatively low. Each of your runs will be timed\, so that you can evaluate how much improvement you make on successive runs throughout the day. Come on out and give it a try. You will be AMAZED at how much progress you will make in one day! Without exception\, people who autocross comment about how their autocross experience has improved confidence and ability with everyday driving on the street. \nCome on out and give autocross a try!
