SUMMARY:TOUR - Moab UT
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the IRPCA/RMR  "Shootout at the Border- Part Deux" driving tour. This overnight tour will begin on the morning of September 23rd. Intermountain PCA region (IRPCA) members will meet at a point to be determined in either Salt Lake or Utah Valley. Rocky Mountain Region PCA members will meet at a location near Golden\, Colorado. Details and times for both start points will follow to registered participants at a later date. Both groups will join up in Utah and slither into Moab around 3-4 pm on the 23rd. There will be an optional dinner river tour on the 23rd with a registration deadline of AUGUST 23rd (I'm trying to get an extension\, but please register asap if you want the a guaranteed seat and discounted price). The combined regions will tour to the Gateway Auto Museum in Gateway Colorado on September 24th. Our host hotel for this overnight tour will be "The Gonzo Inn". If you book at the Gonzo Inn (435-259-2515)\, please be sure to mention the Group Code: IRPCA. Rooms are very limited.  Other recommended hotel options are available right next door at the Downtown Moab Hotel and across the street at the Best Western Plus- Greenwell Inn. All three are perfectly located at the center of downtown Moab\, and within 100 yards of each other for easy gathering with friends once we get to Moab. \nA special OPTIONAL event will be held on Saturday evening about a 10 minute drive from the hotels. The event called "Canyonlands by Night" will include a "Cowboy Buffet" \, followed by a spotlight illuminated jet boat tour up the Colorado River\, highlighting the geologic and settlement history of the river and region. It IS an optional event\, as there are lots of places to eat and hang out within 3 blocks of the hotel in downtown Moab. We have a special rate per person\, of $61 including tax and gratuities (versus a normal price of $69 excluding tax and gratuities). This rate will hold as long as we get 20 or more people signed up for the dinner and tour. As IRPCA will be billed for our attendees 30 days in advance\, we will be asking for you to decide "yay" or "nay" on the boat tour\, during this registration process. Dinner will be at 6pm and the boat tour will depart from the dinner location at 7pm\, concluding shortly after 9pm. More details on the activity can be found at www.canyonlandsbynight.com.  We'll be back in Moab with plenty of time for continuing fun into the evening! Dinner and tour reservations made after August 23rd\, may be sold out\, or may be subject to the un-disounted rate of $69 per person plus taxes and gratuities. DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Porsche Salt Lake - Join us for our Club Race and Drivers Education event on the Full Track and Outer Loop at Utah Motorsports Campus!  All drivers are welcome\, provided that you've had prior track experience\, and spectators can join as well.  As always\, Parade Laps will be held at lunch\, with PCA West Coast Series races being held on Saturday and Sunday.  If you are joining us again you know it is a great facility and a kick butt track. It will be a weekend filled with friends\, fun and excitement. Plus – We are racing on both the full track and the outer loop \nSCHEDULE – Click here to see schedule of events. \nTRACK GATE HOURS: - There is 24 hr. security and you should be able to enter the paddock upon arrival.  You will have to pull your rig to the side and enter the building on the right so that you can sign the track waiver and receive an armband before you can proceed through the gate. If you register for the Test & Tune at the track Thursday night  you will receive an armband and will be able to go directly to the gate.  If you arrive at the track before Friday\, you will still need to either register Thursday evening at the track between 6:30 PM and 8 PM or register Friday morning and sign the PCA waiver. \nFor participants who wish to bring their RV\, parking is available in the paddock for a fee of $45 per night with electrical hookups and $15 per night without power. DESCRIPTION:What is an Amazing Rally?  It's a gimmick rally which is a cousin to the traditional Time/Speed/Distance Rally\, but with a twist. Instead of being concerned with Time and Speed\, teams are given questions to answer along the route based on the passing scenery. Additionally\, several challenges are setup along the route\, giving teams a chance to get out and stretch and test their skills against the other teams in fun and amazing ways. \nEach team consists of a car\, a driver and a navigator. So put your team together and come prepared to be amazed. \nThe starting point for "AR8" will be the parking lot at Triumph Gear Systems in Park City. Please arrive with a full tank. Sign in and car staging will begin at 10:00 AM and will close at 10:45 AM as we begin a meeting of all the teams. Teams will leave the start beginning at 11:00 AM\, departing at approximately 1-2 minute intervals. Departure and Team number will be based on registration. So the first to register will be team 1 and will depart at 11:00\, second to register is Team 2 departing at 11:02.. etc \nThe finish line for the rally will be in the showroom of Porsche Lehi (3425 N Digital Dr\, Lehi\, UT 84043). Snacks and beverages will be available beyond the time of the last car arriving. If you are attending the social only\, plan on arriving between 4:30 and 5:00. DESCRIPTION:Hill Country\, Lone Star and Maverick PCA Regions invite you to join us for the 2017 Carrera of the Americas PCA Club Race and Advanced DE.  The race is at the 3.4 mile Circuit of the Americas\, one of the most challenging tracks in the U.S. and the only Formula 1 venue in the U.S.  This year’s race will be one of the best ever.  After the track goes cold on Saturday\, we’ll celebrate the driver’s participation and hand out awards at Moorespeed located about 10 minutes from the track.  There will be no Test and Tune.  We’ll feature two Sprint races on Saturday and two 60-minute Enduro races on Sunday.   \nThis year’s race is well placed as the second PCA Club Race of the season\, one month after Sebring.  And two months before the Lone Star Le Mans IMSA race.  So buy some tires\, load up the transporter and come drive one of the best racing circuits in the U.S.  And remind all those IMSA\, Conti etc. drivers that this is a great opportunity to drive COTA before their races.  \nRace Registration opens Monday January 16 at 9:00 PM CST at https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/7526.  The Club Race Registrar is Wendy Shoffit CRRreg@mavpca.org \n  \nIn addition to the race\, we’ll have an advanced solo Driver’s Education limited to two groups of 60 cars each.  The advanced solo DE Registration opens Tuesday\, January 17 at 12:00 PM CST at https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/7026.  The Advanced Solo DE Registrar is Tim Thomas registrar@lsrpca.com.  You can find more information about the Advanced Solo DE at http://register.pca.org.   \nOver 20 of the F1 garages are available for rent at $1\,500 per garage for the entire weekend.  This sounds like a lot but each garage holds up to six cars.
