SUMMARY:Carrera of the Americas PCA Club Race
DESCRIPTION:Hill Country\, Lone Star and Maverick PCA Regions invite you to join us for the 2017 Carrera of the Americas PCA Club Race and Advanced DE.  The race is at the 3.4 mile Circuit of the Americas\, one of the most challenging tracks in the U.S. and the only Formula 1 venue in the U.S.  This year’s race will be one of the best ever.  After the track goes cold on Saturday\, we’ll celebrate the driver’s participation and hand out awards at Moorespeed located about 10 minutes from the track.  There will be no Test and Tune.  We’ll feature two Sprint races on Saturday and two 60-minute Enduro races on Sunday.   \nThis year’s race is well placed as the second PCA Club Race of the season\, one month after Sebring.  And two months before the Lone Star Le Mans IMSA race.  So buy some tires\, load up the transporter and come drive one of the best racing circuits in the U.S.  And remind all those IMSA\, Conti etc. drivers that this is a great opportunity to drive COTA before their races. \nRace Registration opens Monday January 16 at 9:00 PM CST at https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/7526.  The Club Race Registrar is Wendy Shoffit CRRreg@mavpca.org \n  \nIn addition to the race\, we’ll have an advanced solo Driver’s Education limited to two groups of 60 cars each.  The advanced solo DE Registration opens Tuesday\, January 17 at 12:00 PM CST at https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/7026.  The Advanced Solo DE Registrar is Tim Thomas registrar@lsrpca.com.  You can find more information about the Advanced Solo DE at http://register.pca.org.   \nOver 20 of the F1 garages are available for rent at $1\,500 per garage for the entire weekend.  This sounds like a lot but each garage holds up to six cars. To make garage reservations and parking as efficient as possible\, this year we will pre assign garages prior to the event.  We hope to avoid confusion by doing this and provide those who want to park together an opportunity to do so.  Pre assignment will be on a first come first served basis and will be coordinated by Race Registrar Wendy Shoffit CRRreg@mavpca.org \nFor more information or if you have questions\, please contact The Carrera of the Americas Co-Chairs Tuffy von Briesen 703-980-4839 dvb0415@gmail.com or Jim Garrett 512-917-3172 jim_g@speedpromo.com

SUMMARY:Cars and Coffee at Kindig-it Design
DESCRIPTION:Oops!  With around 30 IRPCA events on this year's calendar\, there's nothing at all on the calendar for November! So if you're feeling the void between the Fall Social at Snowbird and the Holiday Party at Willow Creek CC on December 3rd\, we've got an answer.\n\nOur final Cars and Coffee for 2016 will be a facility TOUR at Kindig-it Design\, home of Velocity Channel's hit TV show "Bitchin' Rides". Based on staffing limitations at our host\, they will be able to accept only 45 people- 3 groups of 15. So\, unlike past Cars and Coffee events\, attendees must be current members of PCA\, or the PCA associate member\, or one additional family member. To ensure priority for PCA members\, registration will be mandatory at this link---> www.msreg.com/kindig-it. We are charging $11 per attendee to register.  And we need also to require the names of attendees at the time you register on line. A crisp $10 bill per attendee will be refunded at the door to attendees whose identity matches the registration. No cancellations will be made to those who reserve a spot\, but fail to show. We hope you understand that this event may be VERY popular\, so we are asking for a little skin in the game to avoid turning people away from registration\, and then having "no shows" on the day.\n\n\nBut WAIT there's more- \nTours at Kindig will conclude between 3:45 and 4:30\, as will the official PCA event. However for those who want to continue the afternoon we can meet at an informal non-PCA gathering of friends and enthusiasts\, at Stella Grill\, just a few blocks away at 4291 south\, 900 east\, Millcreek 84124. So if you can't get out of work for the tour\, or you get bumped out due to registration limitations\, stop by Stella's grab a bite and a beverage and say hello.
