SUMMARY:AX - SLC Fairgrounds
DESCRIPTION:Please come out and join us at SLC Fairgrounds sponsored by Porsche Salt Lake City. They've added asphalt since last year and it makes for a great course setup. We had a great turnout on June 2nd and everyone had a fantastic time on the larger course.\nWhat is autocross? Autocross consists of navigating your car as quickly as possible through a course made of cones. It’s a great way for any licensed driver to improve skills in his or her weekend sports car or everyday street car. We provide coaches to new autocross drivers who will ride with you and provide pointers. For safety reasons\, there is only ever one car on the course at a time\, and the course is designed to keep speeds relatively low. Each of your runs will be timed\, so that you can evaluate how much improvement you make on successive runs throughout the day. Come on out and give it a try. You will be AMAZED at how much progress you will make in one day! Without exception\, people who autocross comment about how their autocross experience has improved confidence and ability with everyday driving on the street.\n \nVolunteers are always needed to help set up the course\, which is unique for every autocross event. Volunteers meet at 8 AM\, so arrive early if you can. If you can’t be available to volunteer\, then just show up at 9 AM for driver sign-in. We reserve the right to refuse registrations after 9:35\, as late arrivals impact our ability to run the day on schedule. First cars will run no later than 10 AM\, following a drivers’ safety meeting. The day’s schedule depends on the number of entries\, but we usually take a quick lunch break around noon\, and wrap up by 3 PM.\nThis event is open to PCA members and friends\, so put the word out to enthusiast friends and licensed drivers who would like to come and learn to autocross\, or to get some more practice in. A helmet carrying a 2010 (or newer) Snell “M” or “SA” rating is required\, although we have loaners available. The entry fee is $30 for paid-up PCA members\, and $35 for all others. As always\, IRPCA members bringing a Porsche and participating in autocross for the first time run FREE!\nCome on out and give autocross a try! The social environment is low-key\, and the level of intensity you bring to the driving is completely up to you.

SUMMARY:10th Annual AMAZING RALLY
DESCRIPTION:10th Annual AMAZING RALLY\n\n15 June 2019 @ 9:30 am - 5:00(ish) pm\n\n\nSponsored by Porsche Lehi\n\n\n\nYes\, this is actually our 10th annual so prepare to be even more amazed than past amazing rallies. What is an Amazing Rally?  It’s a gimmick rally which is a cousin to the traditional Time/Speed/Distance Rally\, but with a twist. Instead of being concerned with Time and Speed\, teams are given questions to answer along the route based on the passing scenery. Additionally\, several challenges are setup along the route\, giving teams a chance to get out and stretch and test their skills against the other teams in fun and amazing ways. \nEach team consists of a car\, a driver and a navigator. So put your team together and come prepared to be amazed. \nThe starting point for “AR10” will be the parking lot of Porsche Lehi. Please arrive with a full tank. Sign in and car staging will begin at 9:30 AM and will close at 10:15 AM as we begin a meeting of all the teams.  Remember\, this is not a race. \nThe finish line for the rally will be in the showroom of Porsche Lehi (3455 N Digital Drive\, Lehi\, UT 84043 See map below). Snacks and beverages will be available beyond the time of the last car arriving. If you are attending the social only\, plan on arriving between 2:30 and 3:00. Awards supplied by Porsche Lehi. \nCost is $60 per team for PCA members\, and $70 per team for non members. Click here to register. \nThis year\, we'll be raising funds and donations for the Utah food bank. Please bring a canned good per person (or more) that we can send on to the food bank. Additionally\, there will be a silent auction for a few items at the finish.

SUMMARY:NEW - Teen Street Survival Driving Day
DESCRIPTION:Calling all concerned Porsche Drivers.  If you have a teenager or know a teen driver\, you should look at this training day.\nIRPCA has teamed up with StreetSurvival.Org to bring the first Teen Street Survival Driving Day to Utah!  For just $95 teenagers get to drive their own vehicles with instructors to help with developing street survival skills.  Click HERE for detailed information about the event. This will help them\, and everyone else on the road.\nThis one day event will take place at the Utah Motorsports Campus on October 13\, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  We will need lots of Adult volunteers along with Teen drivers to participate.  Hopefully this first event will lead to many more in the future.\nThe class is limited to 30 students and I will need almost the same number of volunteers.  We truly need our club's help with making this event a success\, you know the saying\, "It takes a Village".\nPlease see the link below to sign your teen up and if you could help by volunteering\, please contact Diane Johnstone by email at:  dianemjohnstone@hotmail.com\nIf you have a Motorsport.reg log in already\, you may add another driver to your account.\nhttps://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/register.trss/uidEvent/0CB29AAE-B6E3-9A9E-1C323AAE55F4B4CE\nThanks\,\nDiane Johnstone\ndianemjohnstone@hotmail.com

SUMMARY:TOUR - Porsches & Pancakes
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by Porsche Lehi. \nWe're changing it up a bit this year from previous years. Typically we've started at the Oaks restaurant and then headed up and over Monte Cristo. This year we'll begin the tour at Jeremiah's in the Marriott-Slaterville area off of I-15. From there we'll head up to North Ogden Canyon into Liberty and Eden before hitting Monte Cristo and from there into Evanston. And as an added bonus\, from Evanston we'll head up and take the Mirror Lake highway around the back and down into Kamas and finally Park City (it's only a 20 minute longer route than via the boring freeway). We're looking at about 4 hours total of travel time plus rest stops so that puts us into Park City just in time for a late lunch for those who wish to hang on. Otherwise that will be the tour end point. \nPancakes at 8AM to 9:15\, driver's meeting at 9:30AM and start shortly after that. Feel free to skip breakfast and meet us around 9:15. \nPlease call\, text or email your RSVP to this year's tour leader\, Raleigh Fehr (contact information below).

SUMMARY:AX - Spanish Fork Airport
DESCRIPTION:The Autocross that CAN NOT be missed!!! New Venue!!\nSponsored by Porsche Salt Lake City\nAutocross Spanish Fork Airport\, Saturday August 25th. Spanish Fork Airport 2050 n. 300 w. Spanish Fork\, Utah 84660\nThis will be a autocross unlike no other\, bring the family\, friends etc. We have been invited to use a section of the Airfield between two groups of hangers and its going to be a spectator event\, along with Airshow\, Car show\, and Air race. There will be a barricaded viewing area separating us from the crowd.\nThere will be considerations\, aka rules to follow at this event due to regulatory agencies involved.\n1) Autocross will not start before 10:30 am\, due to opening ceremonies and key events that happens prior..\n2) We have to have our people and cars inside our provided area by 9:00 am. "Don't be late\, arrive early!" The reason is\, we have to get in there before a mass of spectators arrive and they will block off our area.\n3) Once inside\, the only way vehicles can exit before 4:00 pm will be difficult. Logistics!  We have to be escorted down a active runway coordinating with air traffic control. "Plan on staying till 4:00 pm."\n4) LUNCH- bring it or buy it there. (Logistics) We won't be able to drive in or out freely like other autocross venues.\n5) They will put our cars in a secure area until close to 4:00 pm. This is when the last Airplane land's on the ground and the event is finished. We are at the control of Air Traffic control. Fire and Medical personnel etc.\, not to mention big daddy\, F.A.A.\nOnce again\, this will be a all day event.\, so plan accordingly If you have any questions\, please contact our Autocross chairs.\nJames Corn  801-577-4662 or  Richard Aupperle 801-647-1315. or by going to our website at IRPCA.org.
