Tour: Idaho Waterfalls - Sponsored by Porsche Lehi

15 May 2021 - 16 May 2021

The Porsche Lehi Idaho Waterfalls tour is a go, and Mike Rudert just got back from the lands north and has prepared a great tour for all to enjoy!! This tour is a two part tour.
The Part 1 tour will start at the Beans and Brews located at the NE corner of the parking lot at the Layton Walmart Neighborhood Market located in Layton Utah (Walmart Neighborhood Market, 1356 E. UT-193, Layton, UT 84040), will depart at 9:00 AM.
Don't take US 89 to the start as there is significant construction. Instead, come up I-15 and take Exit #334 (700 S.) in Clearfield. This will put you on UT 193 Eastbound. (The Beans & Brews is a pretty new location and the address comes up as follows, depending on the search engine: 1422 E. 3000 N., Layton, UT 84040 or Church St. and UT-193)
The tour will travel through Ogden, Willard, and Brigham City, then continue to hwy 83 to Corrine and Howell. At Howell, we'll join 84 West and head to Snowville. At Snowville, the tour joins Hwy 30 West and and then jump to Hwy 42 to Malta. At Malta, we'll head North on Hwy 77 (the Oregon Trail) head up over the pass where we'll take the road to Pomerelle Ski Area. We'll stop and enjoy the fresh air and snow patched views, and then head down the mountain to Albion where we'll have lunch at the Piggy-Sue barbeque joint (166 Whitman St., Albion, ID or 262 S Main St, Albion, ID 83311, again, depending on your search engine).
Heavy with BBQ, we'll head north to Delco, and then west on Hwy 30 to Burley, ID, where we'll drive along the Snake River to the giant dam in Murtaugh where we may see white-water kayakers surfing the rapids. From there we'll head to Twin Falls for a beautiful falls view, and then on to Shoshone Falls, which is taller than Niagra, and includes a nice hiking/interpretive trail.
Closing out Part 1, we'll head into the city of Twin Falls and end at the Hampton Inn, 1658 Fillmore St. North, Twin Falls, ID. Motels and dinner are on your own, in line with current PCA protocols.
If you're not planning on continuing to Part 2 the next day, please inform Mike, the tour leader so he won't be expecting you in vain.
Part 2: Sunday, May 16th 2021, we'll again depart at 9:00 AM. We'll drive under a waterfall, and then pick up lunch for the road and head West on Hwy 30 toward Filer, and then follow the river to Hagerman. There are dozens of falls bursting out of the canyon walls along this road.
At Hagerman, we'll take the steep, made-for-Porsches road up out of the Snake River gorge to the plateau above. We'll continue to Bliss, and then Malad Gorge State Park (2314 S. Ritchie Road, Hagerman ID. $5 ENTRY FEE REQUIRED).
There is a great picnic area in the Park and an interpretive driving road along the edge of the canyon, that includes amazing views of the many falls.
After Lunch, the tour officially ends, and we'll depart via exit 147 on I-84 Eastbound back to UT.
Please register atΒ www.msreg.com/IdahoWaterfalls. Follow all the directions there for a seamless process through the waivers, etc., and we'll see you at the tour!
