IRPCA invites you to a February “Coffee Brake”!
Porsche Salt Lake City has generously agreed to sponsor our Coffee Brake series.
Thanks to their support you will be able to enjoy several club meet ups that combine a traditional Cars
and Coffee with a car enthusiast’s hot topic. Our February event will feature presentations and a
demonstration of Dry Ice Cleaning. While many of us have heard of it, it seems that few of us really
understand it.
The process uses a variety of pressures applied to dry ice crystals to clean a wide variety of parts on your
Porsche. Applications range from frame restoration back to a “factory look”, to wheel well cleaning of all
the metal and plastic parts, to a simpler engine bay makeover. I’m sure there are many more
applications that we’ll all learn about. So whether you are a restorer, a garage queen maintainer, or just
someone who wants to erase thousands of miles of road grime, there’s an application for you.
Our Coffee Brake will feature our former region President’s 996 rolling chassis. Scott Stone, owner of
Stone Pro Services, is finishing ½ of the chassis and engine bay prior to the event. This will give all of us a
shocking visual comparison of the before and after results of the “back to the factory” look. Doing ½ of
the car, will also ensure that he gets paid by Vince. Just kidding, Vince.
We will also provide a LIVE “lighter side” demo of an engine bay clean up. Likely on a Cayenne or Macan,
as there’s not much to see on a typical 911, and even less room to stand around.
At the end of this announcement you will find a before and after example of a typical wheel well
cleaning as well. We hope to catch you LIVE at our Dry Ice Cleaning Coffee Brake!
Coffee and Sweets will be available on site!
